In the first round world No.107 Basilashvili beat world No.70 Paul-Henri Mathieu of France 6:1, 7:5. This morning the Georgian won over 25-year-old Gastao Elias of Portugal 6:3, 6:2.

In the main draw of Western & Southern Open, Basilashvili will play 25-year-old David Goffin of Belgium.
