Zurab Datunashvili, member of the Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team and current European champion, lost the first round at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The Georgian (75 kg) fell to Doszhan Kartikov of Kazakhstan 2:0.
Unfortunately, Kartikov lost the second round and Datunashvili will not be able to wrestle for bronze medal.
Today champions and prize winners will also be revealed in 59 kg. It is the only weight category where Georgia does not have a participant. Revaz Lashkhi, champion of London Olympic Games, could not gain Olympic licence.
