Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia Tariel Khechikashvili met with Brazilian colleague Leonardo Picciani in “Brazilian House” situated in Rio de Janeiro Olympic Boulevard. Khechikashvili’s assistant Shalva Gogoladze and Georgia’s Ambassador Plenipotentiary in Brazil Otar Berdzenishvili attended the meeting.
They talked about the current Olympic Games and laid down future cooperation plans between Georgian and Brazilian Sports Ministry. By the agreement of the parties, at the end of 2016, Picciani will visit Georgia and cooperation memorandum between two countries will be signed.
“Brazil has a great experience in hosting the highest level sport events and share such knowledge is very important for us.
We talked about the future plans and moving cooperation to a new stage, as well as organizing joint training meetings. We will sign a memorandum in Tbilisi, which will make our cooperation more effective”, - said Tariel Khechikashvili.
