Tyumen (Russia) is hosting one of the most prestigious tournaments in judo – Grand Slam. Because of the upcoming Rio Olympics only two Georgian judokas departed for Russia.
Tengiz Paposhvili (73 kg) beat Aleksandrs Petrovskis of Latvia and then lost to Musa Mogushkov of Russia. In repechage semifinal Paposhvili fell to Alim Gadanov of Russia and finally, took the 7th place.
Today champions and prize winners will be revealed in 81, 90, 100 and +100 kg. Heavyweight Ambrosi Konkroshvili will wrestle in the name of Georgia.
