The Georgian grandmaster Konstantine Shanava (2526) won the international tournament in Turkey which was held under the auspices of Baskent University Open.
143 chess players from 8 countries participated in the tournament. Shanava earned 8.0 points in 9 rounds. He was 0.5 point ahead of second-place Giorgi Bagaturov (2407). Another Georgian chess player Armen Grigoriev (2214) took the 9th place with 6.5 points.
