Jarabek: "I Think We Held a Good Match

Dinamo Tbilisi beat Armenia’s Alashkert 2:0 in the first leg of Champions League second qualifying round. Juraj Jarabek, head coach of Dinamo, talked about the match at the post-match press conference. According to Jarabek, he was satisfied with the team game – there were some mistakes in the first half but the boys carried out his instructions in the second one.

Juraj Jarabek (head coach of Dinamo): “I think we held a good match. The opponent chose five-defender tactic and built the game on counter-offences. Of course, we tried to score a fast goal but we made some mistakes. In the second half I told the boys to play freely and it worked”.

On the changes in the second half – We held the second half better. Ucha Lobzhanidze got injured and replaced him by Velev. Otar Kiteishvili started playing actively and scored a beautiful goal.

On Giorgi Papunashvili – Giorgi Papunashvili resumed practicing several days ago. He has a good potential. I do not know when he will be in good shape but I think if we make through to the next round, Papunashvili will play in lineup.

On the opponent - We achieved our main goal in this match – we kept our net dry and won. As for the opponent, Alashkert is a good team. It is a champion of its country.

Game of the midfielders – The first half was tough for us but Otar Kiteishvili changed everything.

On the legionaries, on Mathias Coureur – When coach has a good bench, it is a great happiness. As for Coureur, he was on the bench because there is a big competition in the team.

The atmosphere at the stadium – I want to thank all fans who came to the stadium and supported us. There was a great atmosphere at the stadium and I want to thank them for that.

The second leg will take place in Yerevan on July 19.
