The 18-year-old Georgian tennis player Mariam Bolkvadze made through to the second round of Wimbledon girl’s tournament.
She defeated Ma Shuyue of China 6:3, 6:3 and in decisive round overcame Destanee Ayava of Australia 6:3, 3:6, 6:4.
In the main draw, Bolkvadze faced 17-year-old Katie Swan. In this meeting, the Georgian advanced with break 6:5, when the British player could not continue playing Bolkvadze made through to the next round.
In 1/6 final, Bolkvadze will face Karman Thandi of India. For instance, the Georgian player is in the 486th place and Thandi is not in qualification.
