Nukri Revishvili, goalkeeper of the Georgia national team, finished treatment in Madrid and is undergoing rehabilitation course in Tbilisi. The Georgian football player feels good and will resume practicing in a few weeks. Nukri released a statement after returning to Tbilisi. He thanked the team’s medical staff, the Georgian Football Federation, the Embassy of Georgia in Spain, teammates and fans for their support.
Nukri Revishvili: “I want to thank each person who supports the Georgia national team devotedly. Victory over Spain gave us more stimulus and motivation. Thank you for devotion and support. I had to treat my injury which I got in the match against Spain in Madrid. During this period I received a lot of messages from you and I am very thankful.
Especially, I want to thank team doctor Merab Vardzukashvili for always being by my side in Madrid. I felt attention from the representatives of the Embassy of Georgia in Spain. I want to thank Ambassador Zurab Pololikashvili and Temo Basilaia. Also, I want to thank my teammates and head coach who did their best for the victory over Spain. I want to thank the Georgian Football Federation and Levan Kobiashvili. I believe the Georgian football will have progress with such composition and attitude. I am sure we will have a successful start at World Cup Qualification. We are waiting for our fans for the first official match of the year which we will hold against Austria on September 5 in Tbilisi”.
Revishvili injured a cheekbone at the 55th minute in the match against Spain. On June 8 he was operated on in one of the clinics of Madrid.
