Temur Ketsbaia resigned from the post of head coach of Apoel two rounds before the end of Cyprus Championship. As the club’s official website reported, the contract with the Georgian specialist was terminated by mutual agreement.

There was nothing said about the reasons for the decision and it is strange, because the team coached by Ketsbaia was close to the champion’s title. The team leads the championship with 76 points and is 4 points ahead of AEK Larnaca.

Apoel held the last match under the leadership of Ketsbaia yesterday at the Cyprus Cup against “Apolon”. They lost in penalty shootout and stayed beyond the Cup.
