Vladimer Nutsubidze at Rio 2016 Olympics

International Judo Federation selected 14 referees for Rio 2016 Olympics. Georgian referee Vladimer Nutsubidze has received an official invitation.

6 referees are from Europe, 3 – from Asia, 3 – from America, one – from Africa and one - from Australia.

Nutsubidze is the first referee from Georgia who will judge judo tournaments at the Olympics.

Vladimer Nutsubidze is 46 years old, has judged continental international tournaments since 1999 and owns a world license since 2007. He judged two world championships.

According to the latest information, the following referees will judge at Rio 2016: Temur Kazarashvili (Greco-Roman wrestling), Edisher Machaidze (freestyle wrestling) and Rusudan Khoperia (trampoline).

The 2016 Summer Olympics will take place in Rio de Janeiro from August 5 to August 21.
