Beka Gviniashvili (100 kg) won gold medal and earned 300 ranking points at Samsun Grand Prix. The Georgian judoka also earned Rio 2016 Olympics license.

Before the final, Gviniashvili beat four opponents by ippon-ippon. He defeated Enes Tatar of Turkey, Elmar Gasimov of Azerbaijan, Benjamin Fletcher of Great Britain and Ivan Remarenco of the UAE. In the final, Beka won over Rafael Buzacarini of Brazil by yuko.
