Champions and prize winners were revealed in 8 weight categories of Greco-Roman wrestling at European Championship. Shmagi Bolkvadze took the third place in 66 kg. Irakli Shavadze (59 kg), Revaz Nadareishvili (98 kg) and Iakob Kajaia (130 kg) lost the morning program.
Bolkvadze defeated Frunze Harutyunyan of Sweden 8:4, Danijel Janecic of Croatia 8:0. In ¼ final he failed to future champion Islam-Beka Albiev of Russia 4:8. In repechage the Georgian wrestler beat Hrachia Malkhasian of France 9:2 and Nikita Masjuks of Latvia 6:4.
Irakli Shavadze won over Apostolos Manouilidis of Greece 10:1. In ¼ final he lost to Roman Amoyan of Armenia 6:13. In repechage the Georgian fell to Ivan Lizatovic of Croatia 9:14.
Revaz Nadareishvili beat Vilius Laurinaitis of Lithuania 9:0 but then failed to Cenk Ildem of Turkey 0:7.
Iakob Kajaia defeated Stjepan Lavric of Croatia 5:0 but in ¼ final he drew with Johan Magnus Euren of Sweden 1:1.
On the last day of European Championship – on March 13 champions and prize winners will be revealaed in 71, 75, 80 and 85 kg. Mindia Tsulukidze (71 kg), Zurab Datunashvili (75 kg), Nikoloz Kelasov (80 kg) and Robert Kobliashvili (85 kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia. The morning block will start at 12:00 Tbilisi time.
