Vladimer Khinchegashvili Is Two-Time European Champion

Georgian anthem was sung on the third day of European Championship in Riga. Vladimer Khinchegashvili, current world champion and the best athlete of Georgia 2015, won gold medal.

13 sportsmen wrestled in 61 kg. Khinchegashvili beat Jasin Redjalari of Macedonia 10:0 and Valodya Frangulyan of Armenia 5:0.

In semifinal Khinchegashvili defeated Haji Aliyev of Azerbaijan 4:2.

In final the Georgian lightweight won over Heorhi Kaliyeu of Belarus 6:1 and won gold medal for the second time.

Today champions and prize winners were also revealed in 74 kg. Jakob Makarashvili won bronze medal. He lost gold-silver chance in the first round when he fell to Jabrayil Hasanov of Azerbaijan (0:5).

In repechage Makarashvili defeated Giya Chykhladze of Ukraine 10:0 and Miroslav Stefanov Kirov of Bulgaria 10:0.

Tomorrow Davit Tlashadze (70 kg) and Geno Petriashvili (125 kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia.
