Avtandil Tchrikishvili is a champion of Paris Grand Slam. The Georgian judoka (81 kg) won over five opponents on the French tatami.

Tchrikishvili defeated Alain Schmitt of France, Neal Van De Kamer of Netherlands, Laszlo Csoknyal of Hungary and Alan Khubetsov of Russia. In final the Georgian beat Ivaylo Ivanov of Bulgaria, won gold medal and earned 500 ranking points.
