The Georgian women’s tennis team finished competing in Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group I with 2 wins and 1 loss and shared the fifth-sixth places with Croatia.

Maka Chakhnashvili-Ranzinger was a captain of the Georgian team. Sofia Shapatava, Oksana Kalashnikova, Ekaterine Gorgodze and Sofia Kvatsabaia played on the team.

In Pool B the Georgian team beat South Africa 3:0 and failed to Great Britain 1:2.

The Georgian tennis players held the last match against Bulgaria and defeated the opponent 2:1.

In singles Gorgodze won over Dia Evtimova 0:6, 6:4, 6:2. Sofia Shapatava fell to Isabella Shinikova 6:1, 6:7 (1:7), 4:6.

In doubles Kalashnikova and Shapatava beat Elitsa Kostova and Shinikova 6:2, 4:6, 6:4.
