The Georgian women’s tennis team lost to Great Britain at Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group I and will not be able to go on competing for play-offs.

In the first match Katie Swan beat Ekaterine Gorgodze 6:3, 6:3. Then, Heather Watson won over Sofia Shapatava 6:2, 6:0.

In doubles Shapatava and Oksana Kalashnikova will play Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith.

The Georgian team lost chance to advance to Group II.
