Georgian judokas ended up the Jeju Grand Prix unsuccessfully. The day before yesterday, Vazha Margvelashvili (66 kg) and Mariam Janashvili (52 kg) took part in the competition and held only one match. Esther Stamm (70 kg) could not participate due to the neck injury. Today, Aleksandre Mskhaladze and Guram Tushishvili (both 100 kg) wrestled, but both of them stayed beyond the tournament.
Mskhaladze wrestled against British Philip Awitialcaraz and won by wazara-ari. In 1/8 final, he lost to Brazilian Luciano Correa.
Tushishvili held the only meeting and lost to Japanese Kensuke Sakamoto.
70 countries participated in Jeju Grand Prix. According to the results, South Korean team took the first place. The hosts gained 5 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
The last International tournament of 2015 – the Tokyo Grand Slam will take place on December 4-6 and the Georgian team will participate with much stronger composition.
