Sensational Victory of Men's Team

The Georgian chess players won over the multiple winner of World and Olympic Championships, one of the strongest teams in the world of chess, Ukrainian team.

The title of hero clearly belongs to the international grand master Levan Pantsulaia, who beats 2700+ rating players two consecutive days. However, the successful game of Baadur Jobava should be mentioned either.

By winning over Ukraine, the Georgian chess players earned 10 points and share II-VI places with France, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Hungary.

Their opponent in the next round will be the team of France, the fourth number in rating list.
