As it was expected, the Georgian national football team defeated Gibraltar easily. Unlike the previous matches, Kakha Tskhadadze changed his strategy and did not have three defenders in lineup. Guram Kashia paired with Aleksandre Amisulashvili. Solomon Kvirkvelia was a substitute. Gia Grigalava was in lineup. Otar Kakabadze played in right defence. Mate Vatsadze replaced Levan Mchedlidze in offence. Nika Kvekveskiri played in midfield. Guga Palavandishvili, young midfielder of “Dila” Gori, had a debut in the national team. At the beginning of the second half he replaced Jaba Kankava.
As for the match, the Georgians had advantage during the whole match.
In the first half Kakha Tskhadadze’s team scored three goals. The guests attacked Nukri Revishvili’s net only once but in vain.
Mate Vatsadze scored a brace. He replaced Levan Mchedlidze in lineup. Okriashvili scored a penalty.
Vatsadze could have scored a hat-trick. He was substituted by Bachana Tskhadadze. At the end of the second half spectators were booing “Crusaders” because they were not playing actively. At the 87th minute Vako Kazaishvili scored a beautiful goal – 4:0.
Georgia has 9 points and will end up qualifying round in Leipzig on October 11.
