Georgian national rugby team fought against World’s current champion New Zealand worthily in the third match of World Cup 2015 and lost 10:43.
“All Blacks” opened the score, but at the 5th minute of the match World Cup’s debutant Beka Tsiklauri scored the responsive try. Then Malaguradze made a conversion and restored balance. New Zealand responded to it with a try, but Malaguradze reduced the lag to 2 points with penalty.
The match continued with opponents attack and “All Blacks” scored two tries before the break. At the beginning of the second half New Zealand scored the fifth try. After this, the score was not changed until 72th minute, which is the merit of the Georgians, but after the opponent managed to score another 2 tries and won 43:10.
It is noteworthy that the Georgian team’s captain Mamuka Gorgodze was recognized as the best player of the match. This year, he became the best player of the match for the second time (against Tonga and now), and overall for the fourth time (against England and Romania in 2011).
