One of the presidential candidates of the Georgian Football Federation Revaz Arveladze said that the congress will not take place until one of the delegates Gega Gobejishvili, who was detained yesterday by the police, will not be released.

Rezo Arveladze: “I call everyone, myself, candidates, Executive Committee, delegates. Before Mr. Gega Gobejishvili will not be released the congress will not start. Making this calling, I am right and I am in majority”.

Shota and Achi Arveladze and veteran footballer Giorgi Kinkladze were together with Rezo Arveladze.

After this, Levan Kobiashvili called media to go to the hotel “Holiday Inn”, where the meeting should take place and one of the rooms of this hotel, the congress delegates are locked and cannot come out. This was followed a verbal clash between Kobiashvili and the delegate Giorgi Khachidze.

UEFA Executive Committee’s member Hryhorij Surkis and hat trick manager in UEFA Davit Petriashvili arrived at the Congress as observers. They went into the room, where the delegates are locked.

Kakha Chumburidze, General Secretary of FC “Saburtalo” said that media will attend the election congress by the decision of Surkis.
