Marjan Srbinovski: "Do not Be Mistaken by Fact that Georgia Lost All Three Games"

Macedonia, today’s opponent of the Georgian national basketball team, has quite good team at EuroBasket 2015. However, it has weak points as well. Marjan Srbinovski’s team won the first half over Croatia.

Macedonia scores most three-pointers at EuroBasket but it could not help the team against Croatia. The head coach and the basketball players of the Macedonian national team summarized the previous game and then talked about the game against Georgia.

Marjan Srbinovski: “It was a very pity failure to Croatia. We held a good first half but then something went wrong.

We wanted to earn the second victory but everything will be decided in the game against Georgia. It is our chance. You may say we can also achieve our goal in the last round but please, do not mention Slovenia. We must go through to playoff by defeating Georgia.

Do not be mistaken by fact that Georgia lost all games in Zagreb. We know strength of this team. Zaza Pachulia has a great experience of playing in NBA. Other players have played in Euroleague. So, it will be a tough game”.

Damjan Stojanovski: “We hoped for the best after the first 30 minutes against Croatia. We did not expect that we would lose 18 points. There is a very interesting situation in the group. The Georgians have lost all games but if they earn at least five-point victory over us, they will make through to playoff. We have a very dangerous opponent. We all know that victory over Georgia will bring us playing in Lille. We must be mobilized and do not make mistakes like we did against Croatia in the second half”.

Predrag Samardziski: “We should not have lost to Croatia. The opponent played aggressively in the second half. We must not give up anything to Georgia. The Georgians are in worse situation than us. We will play only for victory”.

Traditionally, today 3 games will be held in Group C. Greece and Slovenia will play at Arena Zagreb. The game will start at 17:00 Tbilisi time. Georgia will face Macedonia at 20:00 and Croatia will host Netherlands at 23:00.
