Dublin tradition was not broken – Georgian national football team made Ireland quite nervous, however due to the only mistake in defense we lost anyway.
At least the first half was good. We did not let the hosts anything and fought for each part of the field. The play of Jaba Kankava and Tornike Okriashvili is especially noteworthy.
However, this loss cannot be tragedy. The weak areas the team is poor appeared in this match and in case of hard work it can be improved. We spent the last 10 minutes without one player. This was a real peace of bad luck too – at a time, when the limit of changes had expired, Levan Mchedlidze got trauma and could not continue game.
Somehow or other, we fought, tried, but lost. We lost, but not hopeless. In October, we will end the qualifying circle with the matches against Germany and Gibraltar.
