The Georgian national basketball team held two practices 1 day before the start of EuroBasket. Igor Kokoskov’s team showed up at Arena Zagreb at 09:30 and held a photo session before the practice. The Georgian basketball players were taken the pictures which will be used on the official website of EuroBasket.

Giorgi Shermadini and Nika Metreveli were not with the team. But do not worry, they are not injured. The boys were called up for doping control and showed up 15 minutes later.

The coaches were improving different components. They paid more attention to the accuracy of shooting. The basketball players were concentrated on the evening practice which started at 17:00 and lasted a little bit longer than the first one.

Igor Kokoskov was explaining details of combinational game to the players.

In the evening the Georgian national team went to Drazen Petrovic Basketball Hall for the practice. This hall has a capacity of 5 400 while the capacity of Arena Zagreb is 15 200.

Petrovic was a great basketball player in NBA. He died tragically at 28. Drazen started career in Cibona. So, it is not surprising that the home arena of the Zagreb club is named after him. The hall has the Petrovic Museum with a monument of Petrovic in front of it.

Netherlands, today’s opponent of the Georgian national team, practiced at Drazen Petrovic Basketball Hall in the morning.

The Georgian national team will gather once again before the first game of EuroBasket. The players will discuss videos of today’s opponent. Georgia-Netherlands game will start at 17:00 Tbilisi time on September 5.
