Georgian chess player Nana Dzagnidze (2573) moved to the 3rd place in the FIDE renewed ranking, which is the best showing of her career.
Now, the Georgian grandmaster is only behind Chinese Hou Ifan (2671) and Indian Humpy Koneru (2578).
Another two Georgians hit the top 20: Bela Khotenashvili (2502) is in the 14th place and Nino Batsiashvili (2500) – in the 15th.
Following players are in the leading 100: 30. Lela Javakhishvili (2463), 34. Salome Melia (2452), 51. Nino Khurtsidze (2425), 63. Meri Arabidze (2403), 98. Sopiko Guramishvili (2370) and 99. Maia Lomineishvili (2369).
The only one Georgian chess player is in the men’s top 100. Baadur Jobava is in the 71th place with 2671 points.
