Georgia’s biggest rugby base “Aia Arena” was officially opened in Kutaisi. The minister of Sport and Youth Affairs opened the base.

11 million GEL was spent for the construction. The base consists of 4 fields. The central stadium has a capacity of 4 860, the second stadium has a capacity of 1 330 and the third one – 751. The sports complex is equipped with a conference hall, gym and leisure room, commissioner boxes, medical and doping control rooms. Hotel is under construction.

“Aia Arena” is 9 hectares in size and it is the biggest rugby base in Georgia. Association ATU organized the Kutaisi rugby base by the funds of Charity Foundation “Cartu”.
