European current champion Adam Okruashvili (+100) lacks two meeting to gold. The Georgian judoka won three meetings at Astana World Championship and made through to semifinal, where will face Japan Ryu Shichinohe.

Okruashvili opened the World Championship by defeating Polish Maciej Sarnacki. In 1/8 final, the Georgian won over Czech Michal Horak and in ¼ final beat German Sven Heinle.

Today, another heavyweight of the Georgian team Levan Matiashvili (+100) involved in the competition and lost to Cuban Alex Garcia Mendoza.

Decisive matches will start at 15:00 Tbilisi time.
