Today, Executive Committee’s meeting took place in the Georgian Football Federation and the date of presidential election was announced.

Football Federation’s election will take place on October 3. All members supported the decision except one, who abstained.

Applicants will be able to nominate themselves in the election tomorrow. Before the election, Zviad Sichinava will lead the Federation, who decided to leave his post after the European Super Cup match (August 11) and not to participate in elections.

So far, only two candidates had publicly expressed their desire for the presidency of the Federation: GFF’s current General Secretary Revaz Arveladze and former captain of national team Levan Kobiashvili.
