One Day Result - Two Gold and One Silver

Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling youth team had a perfect start at the World Championship in Salvador De Bahia (Brazil). Champions and prizewinners were found out in four categories and in three of it Georgian wrestled in final. Two of them reached the highest step of pedestal: Gela Bolkvadze (74 kg) and Nikoloz Kakhelashvili (96 kg).

Bolkvadze beat Turkish Akbudak Burhan 4:3 and Kakhelashvili – Iran’s Hoseimi Amirhussein – 1:0.

Georgian youth team’s member Nugzar Tsurtsumia (50 kg) reached the final without losing and there lost to Iran’s Reza Khedri 1:2 and gained silver medal.

On the first day of the Championship, Levan Kavjaradze (60 kg) also involved in the competition, but stayed beyond the top three.

Today, champions and prizewinners will be found out in the last four categories. Europe’s current champions Irakli Shavadze (55 kg) and Zviad Pataridze (120kg), also Ramaz Zoidze (66kg) and Giorgi Melia (84kg) will wrestle tomorrow morning in the name of Georgia.
