The Georgian judo team won silver medal at the team championship in Baku. After beating Czech Republic and Hungary 5:0, Georgia lost to France 1:4 in final.

Amiran Papinashvili (66 kg) lost to Loic Korval. Nugzar Tatalashvili (73 kg) failed to Pierre Duprat. Avtandil Tchrikishvili (81 kg) fell to Loic Pietri.

Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg) gained a point. His opponent Alexandre Iddir did not show up. Adam Okruashvili (+90 kg) lost to Cyrille Maret.

The French women’s judo team also won the team championship. They defeated Germany 4:1 in final.
