The Georgia national football team coached by Kakha Tskhadadze will hold a friendly match against Ukraine in Linz (Austria) on June 9.

The Georgia national team has not earned a point in Euro and World Cup qualifying matches in Ukraine. Neither Ukraine won Euro and World Cup qualifying matches in Tbilisi – both matches finished 1:1.
Ukraine’s Oleh Husyev is the only football player in the both teams who participated in the 2014 Georgian-Ukrainian controversy. He is called up for the upcoming match.
Head coach Mykhaylo Fomenko coached “Guria” Lanchkhuti in 1987-1989 and helped the team promote to Supreme League of the Soviet Union.
Kakha Tskhadadze, head coach of the Georgia national team, who captained the national team has never played Ukraine.
