Compositions of Georgian Freestyle and Greco-Roman Teams for the European Games in Baku

Georgian freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams made through to the final meetings of preparatory cycle of European first games. Freestyle wrestling team practices in Borjomi and Greco-roman team at the Olympic base of Dusheti.

Both teams head coaches officially filled the composition for Baku European Games and as it was expected, Mindorashvili (freestyle team’s head coach) and Darchia (Greco-Roman team’s head coach) formed the teams by Georgian champions and both of them made the only change.

Mindirashvili made exception in 57 kg weight category. However, it was known in advance. Current champion of Europe Vladimer Khinchegashvili will wrestle in the lightest weight.

Khinchegashvili lost to Beka Lomtadze in final of internal competition and Lomtadze won the right to go to Baku, as well as other weight champions.

Like Mindorashvili, Darchia announced directly after the end of the Championship, that he would prefer champions while naming the composition. He did so, but was forced to make a change in 59 kg. Due to the trauma of Goderdzi Davitadze, he was forced to replace him by Gizo Meladze.

Six days will be provided to the wrestlers at the European games.
