Basilashvili Lost at Roland Garros

Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili started the match at the French Open well and won the first set but could not keep advantage and finished participating in “Roland Garros”.

Basilashvili played Thanasi Kokkinakis of Australia who justified his status of favorite.

Basilashvili had good chances but could not use them. He won the first set 6:3. In the second set the Georgian equalized score after 1:4 and then lost. In the third set Nikoloz was losing 2:5 but won 4 games in a row and advanced 6:5. However, he lost his serve and then lost tie-break.

Nikoloz had 3 break-points in the fourth set but could not use this chance and finally he lost 6:3, 4:6, 6:7 (4:7), 2:6.

The Georgian tennis player served 6 aces and made 8 double faults, used 4 from 12 break-points and lost 6 serves. Overall, Nikoloz won 121 rallies and Kokkinakis – 141.

After overcoming the qualifying draw Basilashvili will advance in the ranking.
