Georgia Started with Silver in Rabat

Georgian judoka Nugzar Tatalashvili (73 kg) won silver medal at World Masters and earned 420 points.

Tatalashvili beat Victor Scvortov of UAE, Sagi Muki of Israel and Riki Nakaya of Japan. In final the Georgian lost to Denis Iartcev of Russia.

Amiran Papinashvili (60 kg) lacked one win to Top 3. He defeated Mohamed Jafy of Morocco in 2 minutes and 23 seconds. In ¼ final Papinashvili failed to Sharafuddin Lutfillaev of Uzbekistan. In repechage the Georgian judoka beat Amartuvshin Dashdavaa of Mongolia and then fell to Boldbaatar Ganbat of Mongolia. Finally, Papinashvili finished Masters in the 5th place with 140 points.

Lasha Shavdatuashvili also wrestled in 73 kg but in 1/8 final he lost to Rustam Orujov of Azerbaijan.

Today men champions and prize winners will be revealed in four weight classes. Avtandil Chrikishvili (81 kg), Varlam Liparteliani, Beka Gviniashvili (both 90 kg), Adam Okruashvili and Levan Matiashvili (both +100 kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia.
