“The Georgian Football Federation fully supports and is in constant cooperation with the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs with the aim of identifying the organizers of match-fixing and participating in it”, - it is stated in the official statement of GFF.
Unfortunately, past experience, the unwavering position of State structures and GFF did not turn significant example for some players, coaches or employed in football. Despite the punitive steps made in recent years, detention or expulsion from the football family, they could not realize those risks and threats that are part of match-fixing or participating in it.
We hope that the Georgian football players, coaches, referees or other persons in clubs will fully aware of the extent of damages what Georgian Football receives while revealing such facts and once and for all renounce participation in such deals.
To the same, Georgian Football Federation will continue to work in this direction with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and will support the process of identifying all persons involved in such facts and punish them by law”, - it is said in the official statement of GFF.
