Today is the final day of the European Weightlifting Championship, which is under way at Tbilisi Sports palace. Davit Gogia took the ninth place in 105 kg weight category.

Weightlifting coach Giorgi Asanidze made a comment on Gogia.

Giorgi Asanidze (head coach of Georgian national team): “Of course, I am not satisfied with Davit Gogia, but everything has its reasons. As you know, he has not participated for 2 years. It is difficult to return to sport after so long break. It is impossible to end this European Championship without medal, so we are expecting a medal from Turmanidze ”.

In +105 kg weight category, the last hope of the Georgians Irakli Turmanidze will be involved in the competition at 17:00.
