Today champions and prize winners were found out in 94 kg weight category at European Weightlifting Championship. The member of Georgian team Nika Nanadze also took part but stayed beyond the top 10.
Georgian weightlifter lifted 151 kg bar in B group. He lifted 184 kg in snatch and overall took the 4th place with 335 kg.
In A group, 9 weightlifters were involved in the competition. Moldovan Marius Dansiu failed all three attempts in snatch and ended the tournament without a point. Nika Nanadze took the 12th place.
Lithuanian Aurimas Didzbalis became the European champion with 403 kg. Russian Khetag Khugaev won the silver medal and Belarusian Aliaksandr Venskel –bronze.
Tomorrow champions and prize winners will be found out in 105 and +105 kg (men) and +75 (women). Davit Gogia, Gia Machavariani (both 105kg ), Irakli Turmanidze and Giorgi Chkheidze (both +105kg) will be involved in the competition in the name of Georgia.
