Georgian weightlifter Giorgi Lomtadze finished European Championship without a point. The sportsman (77 kg) used only one from 7 attempts.

Lomtadze started participation in Group A with 148 kg but overcame the weight with the second attempt. He could not lift 151 kg and took the last place in snatch. Clean and jerk turned out to be even more unsuccessful. He could not lift 177 by two attempts.

Irakli Gabrichidze (77 kg) took the 6^th place in Group B and finally, finished the tournament in the 12^th place.

So, three from eight Georgian athletes have already competed in the tournament. Ramin Shamilishvili took the 6^th place in 56 kg.

Nika Nanadze (94 kg), Davit Gogia, Gia Machavariani (both 105 kg), Irakli Turmanidze, Giorgi Chkheidze (both +105 kg), Tatia Lortkipanidze (63 kg) and Sophio Mukataridze (69 kg) have not competed yet.
