German national team’s midfielder Tony Kroos said at the press conference before the match against Georgia that the team came to Tbilisi only to take 3 points.

Tony Kroos: “Thank you for a very good reception, but Sunday’s meeting will show us how well they receive us. Our goal is to win”.

-The German team lost to Poland in the qualifying circle and played draw with Australia. Do you think that there are problems in the team?

-Of course, we did not get that result we wanted. We are not satisfied with our game. However, we have to take 3 points in the upcoming match.

-Will you distinguish anyone from the Georgian national team? In the ¼ final of Champions League, will “Real” Madrid beat “Atletico”?

-I have not enough information about the Georgian team. We do not know the Georgian players so close. We will try to win over “Atletico”, but what this press conference have common to it?

-This is not the usual press conference. Will the match be the same?

-This is not a special press conference. I have seen many different press conferences, I think this is usual. We will try to win tomorrow. The Georgian team will try to protect themselves and win.

-Will the winning be easier over Georgia?

-It will be impudence from me to say that the victory will be easy. What does it mean? Everybody tries to do their best and win. We are not sure how the game will finish. Our attitude is to win and take 3 points.

-Do you think that after the World Championship the team developed or weakened? Which tactic will be acceptable for you?

-If we take into consideration that fact that the team did its best at the Championship and after it 3 leading players left the team, perhaps this caused the result. I do not like gambling schemed very much. The main thing is to occupy spaces well.

-How pleasure is it for you that you were named the best player of Germany? You play abroad and what kind of relations do you have with media, which glorify you and sometimes criticize?

-Taking such title is very pleasant. Some people glorify you in case of victory and some criticize in case of failure. I do not pay special attention to it.

-We know that you played a lot at the World Championship and for “Real” Madrid. Probably it is nice when you have some time to rest.

-I have played a lot and I am tired. However, I know my abilities well. That’s why I love playing and do it with pleasure.

At the end of the press conference, spokesman of the German national team announced that doping-control was conducted towards 5 football players.
