Sports and Youth Issues Committee of the Georgian Parliament gave remarks to Levan Kipiani, minister of Sport and Youth Affairs. There is information the committee may start procedures to dismiss the minister.

According to TV channel “Imedi”, the closed meeting of legislators and Kipiani was very noisy. MP Luka Kurtanidze did not name the remarks but advised the minister to take them into account:

“I listened to his report regarding the work he carried out in 2014 and I gave him remarks. Hopefully, these remarks will be taken into account”.

Kipiani confirmed that the meeting was noisy but did not recognize the remarks and stated sport is depoliticized:

“Tension happens. If they demand my resignation, it will not be a problem”.
