Kakha Tskhadadze: "Victory will Put the Team in Good Spirits"

Georgian national team held the first meeting under the leadership of Kakha Tskhadadze and beat the team of Malta – 2:0. After the match, head coaches of both teams answered journalist’s questions.

Pietro Ghedin (head coach of Maltese team): “The game was difficult. I must say that the whole match was spectacular. Georgian team deserved this victory. 2:0 reflects the conditions that were set on the field”.

Kakha Tskhadadze (Georgian team’s head coach): “We did everything in order to win today’s match. This is very important for the future, as the victory will put the team in good spirits. Generally, it is difficult to win when the opponent is in defense with whole team. Our team really has the potential”.

-Will today’s tactic be useful for the team against Germany and shall we expect adventure?

-In the last two matches, the Germans changed their tactics too. It is very important what tactics they will play. We will analyze everything.

-Today, Guram Kashia played to the left, then to the right. What can you say about this?

-Today, we changed tactic for several times, because we wanted to win and gave a great meaning to the outcome.

-Kobakhidze played at the different position…

-We were preparing Sandro for this position. We also have Ucha Lobzhanidze, however Kobakhidze’s play satisfied me.

-Georgian team created quite enough moments. What can you say about realization of these moments?

-It was the first game and had emotional meaning. I would say that the worry was about 0:0. The fans demanded goal. The new coach, a new scheme… in addition, the tactics have changed several times, at this time it is impossible to do everything perfectly. The main thing is that we won and we must not fall in euphoria.

-At first the team started playing with 3 defenders. Then continued play with 4-2-3-1 tactical scheme and ended with 4-4-2. What caused it?

-We wanted to win today. We were unable to score for a long time and that’s why.

-In the second half, Levan Kenia was actively involved in the game. Do you consider him as a member of lineup?

-First of all, I want to say that every player is a member on lineup. I am very glad that Levan showed such game.

-Will you use one of today’s tactics against Germany?

-Of course, one of the schemes will be. They have greater and technical players.

-What can you say about Makharadze, who played in defense in the second half?

-Makharadze has a good debut. I am satisfied with his play. But, I do not consider him as a central defender, because he has no proper speed.

- Are you satisfied with the physical training?

-By the way, I want to point out that this was the case, when all the players had constant playing practice in their clubs and this is very important. In this case, I am very satisfied.

- What is the status of Jano Ananidze?

-Jano is very important player for us. He has a groin trauma and will not play against Germany.
