Avtandil Chrikishvili (81kg), leader of Georgian judo team, world and European champion, stayed without medal at Tbilisi Grand Prix. The Georgian judoka lost to Mongolian Dagvasuren Niamsuren in 1/8 final and stayed beyond the competition.
Ushangi Margiani and Giorgi Papunashvili (both 81 kg) continue fight for the title.
Margiani hit the ¼ final by beating Srzhan Mrvalievic of Montenegro and Papunashvili overcame Ukrainian Artem Vasilenko.
Ambako Avaliani also wrestled in the same weight category but lost in the initial stage.
Three Georgians continue fight for a medal in 73 kg weight category. Nugzar Tatalashvili and Lasha Shavdatuashvili celebrated the second victories and in ¼ final they face each other. In 1/8 final, Tatalashvili won over French Gilom Chene in 2 minutes and 39 seconds and Shavdatuashvili beat Polish Damian Svarnovietski in 35 seconds.
Zviad Kapanadze (73kg) overcame Mongolian Niam Ochir Sainiargal and made through to the quarterfinal.
Fridon Gigani (73kg) lost to Husein Rahimli of Azerbaijan and stayed beyond the Grand Prix.
