Irakli Uznadze, head coach of Georgian judo team, named 28-man composition for the Grand-Prix, which will take place on March 20-22 at Tbilisi Sports Palace. The national team prepares for this competition at the Olympic base of Dusheti. Tomorrow, the team and the coaching staff will return to Tbilisi.
Today, the Georgian team hold the open practice. Levan Kipiani (Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs) and Davit Kevkhishvili (President of Georgian Judo Federation) also attended this practice. They talked to athletes about the importance of the upcoming tournament and wished success.
“Tbilisi will host the most important tournament, in which our team will be involved with the strongest composition. The team prepares for the upcoming tournament according to the pre-draw plan. The boys are in pretty good shape and fighting mood. I hope this will reflect on result. The organizational work is going according to plan and there are all the conditions that Georgia will successfully carry out the entrusted task.
