Georgian national rugby team won the 4th match in a row of European Championship 2015. The “Lelos” beat the Russian team 33:0 at Mikheil Meskhi stadium.
Merab Kvirikashvili led the team in the first 40 minutes and by his penalty kicks Georgia won the half 6:0. In the second half, the apprentices of Milton Haig took their advantage. Kvirikashvili made the score 12:0 by two penalties. At the 71th minuete, Davit Kacharava scored the 17th try for the national team and Kvirikashvili made exact conversion – 19:0.
Zurab Zhvania’s try (at the 83th minute) and conversion of Kvirikashvili increased the advantage of the Georgians to 26 points. At the 87th minute Kakha Asieshvili scored the first try for the national team. Kvirikashvili made an exact conversion again and fixed the final score 33:00.
The Georgian national team will hold the next meeting against Romania on March 21 in Bucharest.
