Gia Grigalava, left defender of the Georgian national team, and “Anzhi” Makhachkala have cancelled contract, the official website of the club reports.

“We understand some emotional statements of the player. We broke up as professionals but we are always ready to defend reputation of Gia” – stated Sergei Korablev, general director of “Anzhi”.

Grigalava transferred to “Anzhi” at the beginning of 2013-14 seasons. The 25-year-old football player has held 29 matches.

The situation got tense between Grigalava and “Anzhi”. According to the Makhachkala club, forbidden drug was found in blood of the Georgian. Grigalava stated “Anzhi” wants to cancel contract with him and test result is not true. Finally, the club and the player have said goodbye to each other.
