The Georgian women’s team played for the 5th-8th place at Fed Cup. Unfortunately, the Georgians failed to Turkey 1:2.
Debutant Mariam Bolkvadze celebrated the only victory. Other experienced members of the team lost their matches.
Bolkvadze defeated Basak Eraydin 6:3, 6:3. Ekaterine Gorgodze lost to Ipek Soylu 6:2, 0:6, 1:6. In doubles Sofia Shapatava and Oksana Kalashnikova failed to Soylu and Cagla Buyukakcay 6:4, 4:6, 4:6.
