Georgian U-17 football team, coached by Aleksandre Chivadze, will play in the 6^th group against Spain, Sweden, Croatia, Estonia and San-Marino in the European Championship qualifier 2017.

This information was announced on February 5 in the UEFA headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland).

52 participating teams of qualifier stage were distributed in 9 groups. There are 5-5 teams in 7 groups and in the other two – 6-6.

I group: Czech, Belgium, Montenegro, Moldova, Latvia, Malta.

2^nd group: Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, Ireland, Lithuania, Andora.

3^rd group: France, Scotland, Ukraine, Iceland, Macedonia, Northern Ireland.

4^th group: Portugal, Israel, Greece, Hungary, Albania, Liechtenstein.

5^th group: Denmark, Romania, Armenia, Wales, Bulgaria, Luxemburg.

6^th group: Spain, Sweden, Croatia, Georgia, Estonia, San Marino.

7^th group: Germany, Russia, Austria, Finland, Azerbaijan, Faroe.

8^th group: Netherlands, Slovakia, Turkey, Belarus, Cyprus.

9^th group: England, Switzerland, Norway, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kazakhstan.

It is notable that for the first time 12 teams will play in the final stage instead of 8.

Football players born on January 1^st 1994 and after have the right to participate in the qualifier 2017.

2016:
