The Georgian water polo team unsuccessfully finished participating in “Gvakharia’s Cup”. However, the Georgians noted this tournament was a preparation for European Championship.

Today the last matches of the tournament were held at the swimming pool “Olympic”. The Russian team defeated the Georgian athletes 19:10 and took the first place.

Before Russia-Georgia match Kazakhstan played Turkey. Kazakhstan only lost to Russia, won other two matches and took the second place. Turkey took the third place and our team took the fourth place.

In February the Georgian water polo players will compete in European Championship Qualification.
