International tournament “Gvakharia’s Cup” is under way at swimming pool “Olympic”. Yesterday Russia beat Turkey and the host team lost the second round as well.

The Kazakhs had advantage during the whole match and finally, they defeated the Georgians 16:14.

Georgian water polo player Zurab Rurua noted “Gvakharia’s Cup” is a preparation tournament for the Georgian national team. Their main goal is to qualify for European Championship. The qualification will start in February.

As for the last matches of “Gvakharia’s Cup”, today Kazakhstan will play Turkey at 10:00 and Georgia will face Russia at 11:30.
