Ana Tatishvili added 50 points in the ranking of Women Tennis Association (WTA) by winning the Macon tournament and from 177th place moved to the 158th place. For the next week she will add also that 34 points which she earned in the Rock Hill tournament and will be promoted in the classification.
8 Georgian tennis players are in WTA ranking, and the news is appearance of Tamar Chalaganidze and Marian Bolkvadze. They returned in the classification after a pause:

In the current week, Tatishvili stays in USA and will play in the Florence tournament (25 000 USD). Ana is #4 seed and the first ranking has Columbian Mariana Dukue-Marino, to whom the Georgian tennis player lost in the final of Rock Hill tournament.
Sopo Shapatava is still in Japan, at the Hamamatsu tournament (25 000 USD). Sopo is #3 seed and in the first round she will compete with Natsumi Chimura, owner of “Wild Card”. In the doubles, Shapatava and Belinda Bencini (Switzerland) will face the duet of Japan – Inoue and Okadaue.
Ekaterine Gorgodze and Sopo Kvatsabaia will be involved at the tournament (10 000 USD) in Antalya. #7 seed Gorgodze will play against Katarina Stresnakova (Slovakia) in the first circle. Kvatsabaia will compete with Kimberly Cimerman of Belgium.
In the doubles, Gorgodze and Ekaterina Tsiklauri of Russia play against Kazakh Gulnaz Dock and Russian Valeria Maksimchenko, and Kvatsabaia and Turkish Esen Kokche play against the French duet – Kamil Cheli and Alix Kolombon.
Aleksandre Metreveli managed to overcome the qualifying draw of Shymkent tournament (10 000 USD) in Kazakhstan. At first he defeated Serijan Yesenbekov – 7:5, 6:2 and then won over Spanish Jose Vidal Azorin – 6:3, 6:1. First opponent of Aleksandre Metreveli in the main draw will be known later.
It should be also mentioned that in the ranking of Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Metreveli has 7 points and is in the 1119th place. Nikoloz Basilashvili has the best result among the Georgians, he is in the 385th place with 102 points.
